Due to the expansion and reorganization of the quality department, we are looking for a passionate and competent Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team, supporting the Quality Assurance Manager. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all company processes and products comply with high-quality standards and current regulations, as well as voluntary standards.

This position is for GFL SRL, located in Siziano, Italy (Pavia-South Milan), where the production facility is based. The role will be mainly carried out on-site, with the possibility of travel to audit suppliers/external partners.


Responsibilities
• Ensure the update and implementation of quality procedures within the company
• Plan, conduct, and document in dedicated reports periodic validations of machine cleanings and production processes 
• Actively collaborate in the continuous update of the risk assessment system for internal products
• Provide qualified support to the Sales Operations department, acting as a point of reference for customers on quality and internal process matters
• Plan and conduct internal audits, with the possible support of external consultants
• Manage third-party audits, ensuring that all processes and procedures are ready for review, coordinating the necessary activities to meet the external auditors' requests, and implementing any corrective actions resulting from the audits
• Conduct second-party audits at suppliers, assessing their compliance with the quality standards required by the company
• Actively oversee and manage the resolution of non-conformities, complaints, and corrective actions, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues
• Actively participate in change management within the organization, contributing to the implementation of new processes, technologies, and regulatory updates


Requirements and Experience

A previous experience of at least a couple of years within the Quality Assurance department of an industrial company is mandatory. Priority will be given to candidates with a background in the cosmetic sector.
The role is particularly suited for individuals with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
A degree in one of the following disciplines is appreciated: chemistry, biology, biological sciences, pharmaceutical chemistry and technology (CTF), or related fields.
Full proficiency in both Italian and English is required.


Here are the key competencies for the role:

  • Understanding of major international standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001
  • Preferable knowledge of GMP regulations and ISO 22716:2007
  • Experience with IFS HPC certification is an advantage
  • Familiarity with product certification standards such as COSMOS, RSPO, and Nordic Ecolabel
  • Proficiency in risk analysis, change management and process validation techniques
